Gutted !!!

My mechanic sent me this today ...... new fan installed  now a rebuild Image

Hope it all goes back together and the fault is gone. Must be nearly finished all the improvements now Colin

Got the X back today  and all is good no squeaks or rattles  and a silent running fan

That's good your mechanic go it all done and no rattles and no squeaky fan.

I guess it's like a nearly new car now with all the improvements

It's only gone quiet so you can hear the next fault, seriously though, hope you have long and trouble free motoring.

Colin,

i used Farecla g3 swirl remover on mine, worked a treat in my opinion, other cutting compounds may give you the same results.

i tried a small section first just to make sure i was not going to FUBAR anything.

I was happy then to use.

Colin,

No worries, I elected to use hand as did not want to get my mop out, you can keep a better feel with delicate parts by hand in my opinion. With a mop I stand the risk of being to aggressive.

I used the same technique on the black anodised trim that surrounds the windows and doors, mine were very tarnished and came up like new and has weathered well with an occasional polish only.
