Has anyone had this? I have 2004 E53 3.0 D Sport. When I put the key in the ignition (with doors closed and lights etc off) I get a bong, but I get no warning on the dash so I have no idea what is causing it......?

Anyone had this or got any ideas?

Hi Smee , this might have no relation to your bong    but after my X has been at the garage for different things  i got faults like  bong  check fog lights / bong  check parking lights etc etc  but they were all fine , sometimes bong for no reason i could see  , i put it down to battery drain with doors open  while mechanic working ,
so after a good charge  all my problems were solved ..

Hi Colin, yes Ive had many of the dreaded electrical/battery issues over the years, but ive tried charging woth a crek conditioner and had it on long rubs (4hrs) too, to mo avail, however the battery is of an age where it could be on the way out, that said its a five year warranty and still under warranty so may go down that route. Anyone else got any other suggestions?
