Looking at buying the following X5

After coming to the realisation we won't be buying an M5 for a good 6 mo the to a year. Been looking at a temporary car for pottering about (no more bleeding buses)
Found the following that I'm seriously considering.
It has a good mot background....but no audio...and upon emailing him...no BMW chimes (seatbelt etc)
After looking online I don't see this as a serious issue. New amp, fuses, TCU or some other audio component.
Would you say it's a decent price to say no audio is a minor issue.
Thanks.

Cheers, just wanted to make sure it wasn't too good to be true. I think the audio issue maybe fuse, tcu unit, amp or something replaceable.
Just researching the x5 timing chain issues now.

Looks like a fairly hefty dent on the rear wing and bumper and some trim missing from that area. If the sat nav is working at least there’s nothing wrong with the screen so radio is probably a reasonably easy fix. Timing chain is difficult to research, some have gone early (well below 100k) mine is on 145k with no record of replacement. Due a big service at 150k but it’s a difficult decision to rip something apart that’s working fine and is quiet. When I got it at around 100k I replaced the tensioner which was considerably shorter than the new one. I hope it’s a good one that you will be able to enjoy. They are an absolutely brilliant machine without a lot of the x drive problems.

Hi
The colour is good and mileage okay.
Ypthpiece of rear arch trim is about £120 from BMW to replace. If viewing car then check that all the electrics work apart from that esp pan roof.
Also as the 4.8i is air suspension front and Rea check this is working and no faults using the dash check button, if ther is Susp inactive then either asked them to fix or get a reduction in price as air suspension is expensive to sort.
Check tyres if worn esp on outside fronts and inside rears as a good set will be £700 plus
Remember to read the E53. Guide before going it will give you more tips
