Eh up all,

Before I start on my suspension rebuild I had a quick look at the aux belts on the car and they look a little tired so think I will replace them.

Mines a 3.0d 2005 plate auto, I wonder if anyone can offer a how too on this job.

I’ve just done my daughter Fiat 500 :headbang: that involved dismantling a whole host of parts to get to the blasted belt - please tell me it’s going to be an easy job for a change.

Also any views on belt brands - usually go for Gates or Conti.

Thanks in advance

Very easy job to do.
You can feed the belt round the cowl/fan and a 16mm spanner on the spring loaded tensioner job done.
I use Gates or Conti.

Alan,

Good to hear from you.

It’s realy as easy as that , it looks a sod to get to from above, looks like the fan has to come out .

Mines the facelift 3.0d - am I wrong and making it a big deal when it’s really simple

Be The first easy job on this - I’m still recovering from a simple air filter change

Cheers again all advice greatly appreciated

You can go here for workshop instructions https://www.newtis.info/ however there are always shortcuts you create yourself.
