Okay, yes for those who are sharp and have read the following that was attached to an other topic I've posted SORRY  , BUT would like to get some feedback before committing to anything.

Existing OEM GPS System
The OEM GPS system is totally out of date, will it be easy to update the system by buying an updated GPS data disc (EBay) and just "plug & play" kind of thing? Would like to know if poss. so I don't go wasting £'s on discs that won't work or achieve next to nothing.

OEM Multichanger Player
Is it possible to just to "plug & play" an OEM multichanger disc player (if leads are present in boot on the 4.6iS) into the existing system?

Any suggestions on either greatly appreciated
Thank U all

Rich

The OEM (DVD) based system in my 4.6 is simple just put the new disc in and let it do it's thing. Just check it's running the latest software in the operating system V32 (I think? have to look at mine now) A word of warning make sure it is an original OEM disc copies and non BMW discs can damage the reader head. I last up dated mine in 2016 as the Original disc showed me in the middle of a field when I went past Ferrybridge on the A1M.

Cd Changer if the plugs are there in the left cubby it is plug and play I still have the CD Changer from my 4.4 in the garage yours for the postage if you don't have one already and I can find it??
