Hi,
I have a BMW X3 E83 M47 2.0D - the car will start 1st time, run for few seconds and die. This only happens when the car has been standing for at least 8 hours. The second start is fine and the problem will not repeat for the rest of the day. The problem seems to go away during warmer months of the year but returns when the temperatures start to drop. Nothing too cold - just not summer weather.
The problem has been going on for a few years now and no garage has been able to find a solution.
Anyone else had the same issue and if so have you managed to resolve it?
