Got it fitted now before going into hospital tomorrow. The apple CarPlay is great and really brings it up to date.

Looks pretty sharp

I miss tinkering with my E53, somehow the E70...71 in my case seems more intimidating :(

I recon it show where my skill set is ie 20 years back down the road. Fiddling is my hobby nowadays and as long as I can I will. I understand what your saying about the modern stuff being more daunting. Probably all the electronics.

I notice that I posted that last post in September. I fitted the tv module back then as well. It connects through the AV inlet plug. So switch to AV and use the remote to get/scroll through tv channels. Simples. But sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. For months I couldn’t figure out why. It never registered that if I was using the Xtrons apps it worked fine and if I was on CarPlay it didn’t. All that is required is to hit pause and then the AV inlet works. Far to complicated for me. It definitely doesn’t say that in the instructions. Do these people that write the instructions overestimate the quality of the idiot

No they just assume we’re all brilliant engineers of hardware and software so we should know, because Engineers never need to RTFM so why include that particular nugget…. :D
