……and no computers! Something that can be fixed with a socket set, hammer, screwdrivers and cups of tea. No degrees in computer science :D

It does bring a smile to my face when I take it for a spin. It’s not fast by todays stds but it sounds fantastic and the dash is beautiful

Thats truly lovely 👍

Sadly my low down two seater days are over. If i was mobile enough i'd have one of these. Put a deposit on a modified one years ago then discovered original is best, it usually is i suppose. Never found another at anything like sensible money. Now with the passage of time..........

Pondered for a long time on one of those, to long in fact, when I decided to buy one there were only two available and prices were sky high. They are absolutely a stunning individual Classic

Winter tyres are horrible ! Noisy to drive on expensive and short lifespan. Here on the edge of Exemoor people are paranoid (for no good reason) about the weather, and I hear lots of vehicles go past with audibly clear winter tyres but weather in the last few years has in no way warranted them really. If you are in the far-North or Scotland maybe but otherwise dont worry ...

I don’t worry Felix I only do 5k miles a year so if the weather is to bad I stop at home

I’m the same now. The last three seasons have not warranted them (so far) but several before then absolutely required them as our roads did not get treated. This year we’ll still have to see, though being now able to work ‘flexibly’ gives another option as well.

Well, for 10 years I ran my E70 on winter tyres from November to March - Vredestein Wintrac Extreme non runflat 19" offset wheels. They were quieter than the Continental, Bridgestone and Goodyear run flat summer tyres I used over that time, and they returned about 2mpg better, when remember, diesel engines often are more thirsty during the colder weather. I needed the car for my job and having winter tyres on for travelling all over the north east of England gave a sense of reassurance. Most of the time there was no snow - but the tyres are designed to suit colder roads so gave good cornering and braking. I recommend them. Just need a set of 19" wheels and tyres for my F15!!!! You can sure the year you don't have them they will be needed .........sods law lol :driving: but the trend now is milder winters so there will be less and less need for them in the uk as time goes on.
