Well,I’ve completed my move back down south, Bournemouth this time, first priority is to enlarge my second home otherwise known as the garage. Grandson does stuff like that for a living so hopefully won’t break the bank. X now has 165k and has run great since new throttle potentiometer fitted. Although the TPMS has indicated (this morning) that the f/l tyre pressure is low, fingers crossed that the puncture is repairable. I was amazed to find LPG at Keele services for 66p but local BP is 89.9p Journey down yielded 18.5 mpg.

The mpg is a tad low for a run isn't it? I can get 22+ in the 4.4.
As for the lpg - there used to be a garage near Royston selling for 79.9ppl and Morrisons at Camborne for 55.9ppl. Big difference when buying 90 litres for the range rover. Alas the Royston suppliers has been replaced with a shop.
Now Morrisons has ramped the price up to 79.9..

For what its worth my 4.6 is at 163k and average mpg (car computer and checked miles against fill amount) currently remains around 18.8 mpg. Considering I pull a horse trailer now and again I am OK with that. I have noticed a drop off since the introduction of the new E fuel rating though.

I think it is recognised that lpg gives a 10% reduction in mpg and top speed over petrol,but considering the cost of lpg per litre to petrol ,it is still a good bet. Remember the fuel is lpg a gas, and petrol is droplets of fuel.
Can be seen on oil change, where lpg vehicles can safely double times between oil change.

Thanks, to be honest I never really seen that much plus of 18.5 mpg. Always been reasonably happy with that. As for comparison with petrol I couldn’t say, apart from cold starts I haven’t used petrol for years. I have the lpg app and it has served me well to avoid petrol stations.
