Hi guys done some work on my E53 wishbones ball joints discs and pads and now iv got the 4x4 light on. I done the lock to lock and drove it over 50 miles it goes off and comes back on. When doing the work the interior light was on and didnt realise so battery died so i jump started it. Have i missed anything or can i reset it please

Did you disturb the ride height sensor? Could be the steering angle sensor needs recalibrating too. Changing track control arms means a recal is needed. If you’ve got an OBD 2 scanning tool that will tell you what it’s upset about. You could also try taking the battery off for 30-mins. Sounds odd I know but it was (and may still be) BMWs first answer to everything. It resets the computers. Low battery usually brings more warning lights on ABS, 4x4 and DSC together.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Make sure you leave it off for 20 to 30 minutes.
Somebody i told to do this thought 30 seconds was long enough.
