Hi to to everyone. We used to be on X5 drivers with our E53 3.0 petrol sport but that has gone now and we've recently bought a 2008 E70 3.0sd M Sport. Carbon black with beige leather. It has a good spec but there are a few things i'd like to retro fit if anyone knows how. I want to fit folding mirrors ( anyone know whats involved with the wiring) and the BMW usb port, might seem daft but what exactly does this allow you to do? Thanks

Welcome back to the group.
No idea about folding mirrors, sorry. Which USB port are you thinking of? The one in the centre armrest? There is an official retrofit kit for that one. It will allow you to connect and charge an MP3 player into the car audio directly rather than via bluetooth.

not sure on the e70 but if it's anything like the e53 then the mirrors just need changing over for auto fold ones which will connect straight in and then the drivers side window switch has to be changed.My very first mod back in the day with help from the old duffer on here
As said though not sure on the e70 .....yet

Thanks for the advice. I'm loving the car, the first mods went on this week. I've changed the exhaust ends using a BMW accessory kit. The new exhausts are square like the 2010 facelift cars, these fill the bumper holes a lot better. Might upgrade the halo's next....... Hmm got the bug again
