Finally got my car back today new hpfp and 1 new injector full fuel system flush new filter and 1 empty wallet happy days

Hi sorry to hear that was it your 40d ? and what mileage was it on seems you have had a lot of problems with that car :( :(

Yep it’s not been nice to me so far it’s on 118k I’ve only done 4k in it since I’ve had it spent more time in garage

Not the first 40d on here to need a high pressure pump they changed from a cast iron pump to aluminium and they have proved less reliable. You mileage is quite low for big failures though hopefully that's the end of it :driving:

I chose to pay to have it tested before lunging into replacing and they said it must have to been in early stages of breaking up as the injectors was tested last month and there was no metal filings in the injectors just 1 electrically faulty when they opened the pump ip it was sludged up and had metal filings at least it’s running now see how long I get out of it this time lol

PF jones do recon HPFP, you get £240 on return of old pump. I had to just source one due to oil starvation and engine damage
