Hello,

Can anyone please tell me if an oil leak from the engine would be covered under warranty or is it just classed as wear & tear?

The car has covered 45k miles & is under bmw warranty.

Not being dismissive but a call to sale manager at supplying dealer should answer this. If they say no I would ask for this in writing/email & then pursue further whether with DP or BMW UK befoee leting this go. Obviously go in nice & low to start with.

Small print of waranty may answer your question most accurately as to where you stand.

Warranty aside slae of goods act make it clear any fault on your car shall be demed to have ben present at poit of sale & legal onus on seller to rectify or prove it wasn't present when sold. Any legal judgement/finding would , however, give reasonable consideration towards the age/mileage of the car & expect the settlement to be offset by any betterment you might gain.

Hopefully it wont come to a legal issue & the dealer will see you good.
