Thinking about having my X5 3.0sd remapped. How long does it take at your facility? Had them before on other cars with before and after dyno only taking an hour or so.. but that's a generic map. I assume yours is more bespoke?

Thanks.

I would need the car in for 1/2 a day the remap is custom made to you car 340-350bhp 700-720 nm £355

I've got a 535d LCI
I think the engine and gearbox is the same to a 3.0sd x5?
I read that these gearbox are rated and shouldn't go above the quoted figures?
When you say custom, is this done on the road or dyno and where are you based?

[/quote]From memory the gearboxes are rated at 700nm, also Jason has a 2 wheel drive Dyno Dynamics rolling road so an X5/6 wont be going on there.

Yes the remap is custom made to your car
And if it is a 2 wheel drive I can dyno test before and after as well

I make a lot of tuned file for other tuning company's who test the cars on there 4x4 dynos as well

Jason, are you able to do anything with the F15 model yet? Also my time is split between Edinburgh and Aberdeen - do you have anything in those areas?

Cheers

http://www.bwchiptune.co.uk

when is the website going to be completed?

I've only every had one remap done, a base stage 1 was loaded and then I went out on the road with the remapper who took readings to do fine tweaks to suit the car, is this done or is it just a generic map for 3.0sd?

Also is it only at the address on the website, Middlesex?

hi Jason,

I have e53 4.8is... what result would I expect post remap?

not too cost conscious but if it does make any fuel economy improvements it may well be on my priority 'to do' list :).

Here's a thought. How many have successfully had there X5s dyno'd before & after remaps?

I'm finding very few tuners who have ability to accurately measure results even on Dyno Dynamics due to the nature of the 4x4 system and its losses.

Hi Jason, do you do anything for the X5M which would not cause problems with BMW warrenty? The car is a 2010 model (built in 2009). Cheers. Pete.

Are you going to start HHO kits, for economy?

Yes we tune many of these 3.0sd and tune the file for a good few other tuner with 4x4 dynos who have tested them

When I have time I'll get around to the web site but I'm snowed under every day at work

You should post this in the e53 performance section

If you speak to Raj he has the same with our remap and a good few others
If you search in the e53 section I'm sure you will find posts and be able to ask Q s from who have the Remaps on there cars

I've been tuning these since they 1st came out in singapore when I was out there tuning

It uses the same engine as my F10 M5

Here's our bwchiptune f10 m5 630bhp vs thorney x5m 620bhp at Santa pod bmw show 2014

http://youtu.be/m6DRp8iuF1c

I let my son drag race the the f10 m5 for the 1st time and he forgot to turn off the auto stop start which kicks in at the line giving the x5m a head start but he catches up at the finish line to win
