Hi,

I have a X5 2003, does this car have a auto lights function so that the lights automatically come on when it gets dark.

Is there a function on the car so that the tail lights come on when I unlock the car with the remote?

You have the pre-facelift and may be a member with the same car can confirm but on my facelift E53 I have the light switch with an 'A' that allows this function.

Rear tail lights, no. Unless you buy a module. Aftermarket for this type of stuff - quick YouTube search with show you.

I have a 53 plate and have the auto function, as you turn your light clock wise to put your lights on as norm, if you have auto then turn anti clock wise nas said you will have a A for auto to the left of your norm lights.

Mine is the late model hence been a 53 not an 03 also as the sport pack, new to the X so don't no if this makes any difference.

Type it into YouTube and you'll get the idea... Small aftermarket module that allows all sorts with the lights.
