Language change on DSP car???

Ever since I ugraded my satnav disc to one from eurosatnav it's changed my warnings and computer display to French!

This wasnt a problem until a warning light came on the other day and I had no idea what it was telling me. Looking in the computer handbook hasn't helped as I don't have the language change option on my settings menu!

Can anyone help? Car has DSP sound system and full comms.

Cheers

Sorry - no idea. Might need a wee trip to a dealer, or you could try taking the battery off and putting your OEM disc back in and see if it recovers. Can't think of anything else to try unless you have a V32 disc for the OS too? In which case try reloading it.

Not sure what the connection between the Nav discs and the other languages is. I though language was independent of discs unless it's uploaded new data.

My car is DSP equiped and the french language displays too, but only if i switch the audio speed camera warning off. There apparently is no fix for this if using hybrid map disks :(

She did mine at the last Bristol meet in March, and also got my voice recognition to work, though it wouldn't work on the day only worked after a couple of days, don't know why, still working now but not sure what to ask it?? - that's an X5 for you.

Hi Phil

Ask it for what you want!! Lol. It's brilliant for the Bluetooth as you just press a button and say dial name then sat the name and off it goes :-).

As for OP yes just put the alerts back on or you need something like the Resler to set the default languages. It's on the pics of the how to with the Resler in the forum :-)

I hope She's nicer than the one on my iDrive!! I asked for the phone and got the oil level - no idea how, but that's what came up. I haven't had another go yet - about 20 pages of commands in the Owners Manual!!

Oh, and 'Shut Up!' isn't one of them :P

Thanks all. Seems like I have my answer then as I turned the speed camera voice alerts off as soon as I got it and now my car thinks it's called Pierre!

Difficult choice now on what to do.....

Anyone know what Verif. Niveau Huille means in English?
