Another Build Thread...

Well, inline with the legendary build thread for the X5, I decided it was also time to sort the other build out to house the X5 and start my Midlands modding HQ.....lol.

Now it started in April and I'm still ongoing BUT nearly there.

The reason, I've been doing a lot of it myself (with the help of my brother-in-law and a couple of his work mates).

I am truly knackered I can tell you . Working, then trying to spend time with my kids and then doing this has been one hell of a juggling act, but MODDING is MODDING....:D

I won't bore with loads and loads of pics, but will give you a quick overview:

So the start point:

And our initial weapon of choice:

And within about 4 hours we were at to this:

Now at this point we had major probs with finding the drainpipes ran where the new wall was to go so we had a lot of digging to do to move the drainpipe and dig the required foundations (and they were bloody deep).

But after about 5 weekends we were finally at this point:

Then it was another 3 weeks before I could get the remainder of the brickwork sorted and the roof on:

I certainly was a lot happier at this point as it finally felt like it was getting there.

Then in stepped a good mate of mine to sort out the fascia's and drainage and the door also went on (and it's a good size).

YEY!!!!

The Aladdins Cave:

It's taken me about 30 hours just to paint the entire inside....

But it's been soooooo worth it:

Downstairs toilet....always useful....lol:

And you can never have too much storage:

So there you go. It's very car related and as Matt said, once a modder always a modder....lol :D:cool:

Driveway will be sorted at the end of the month and then I can start getting cars in.....he he.

The gutter's p!ssed :D

Looks nice though. Next house we buy will have to have a double garage at least. Current plot does not have enough room to go sideways and I just know our neighbours would object to a forward extension even though they couldn't actually see it. We're set back compared to them and the only window of theirs looking over our drive is frosted glass, but they would still complain!

Lol @ the gutter comment... Will get it straightened once the driveway is sorted.

As for the land...yep it's mine. Planning permission/building regs all done and in place.

I've always wanted to have a decen garage to house my car in and to be able to work on it out of the elements.

I do some detailing and valeting and have a couple of cars already lined up. Also brakes, suspension and general maintenance. I just love working on cars.
