Hi guys

Is it possible to set the headlights or even just the angel halo glow to come on once the car is unlocked?
With the nights getting darker earlier and the wing mirror lights being relatively useless, it would be nice just to get a bit more light when approaching the car in the dark.

My cars an e53 3.0d sport for info

yes you can do this very simply from around 99p.....a torch!! no in all seriousness others may know but with the coding program you may be able to set it to leave the haedlights on for say 20 secs after locking, i konw this is possible with other makes, if not the first option will have to do!!

On mine I just flash the headlights, both front and rear lights stay on for about 20secs.

I was thinking the same but OP wants when you approach the vehicle... Must be an easy way.

Is a handy feature which would be nice to have on the x. Found it useful on me old x type jag. If you pressed the lights on button 3 times it set a panic alarm off

It's when you approach that I was after, surprised none of you guys have managed to crack how to do this yet. Hmmm, thinking cap on....

When unlocking, the puddle lights come on and the christmas lights inside the car as well. Seems to light up the car park by itself so not needed the headlights as well ...

Isn't one of the options available on scanner 1.4 to flash the headlights when you de/activate the alarm (instead of the indicators)?

All joking aside I forgot bmw's of this vintage come with free torches in the glovebox, just checked and it's there
Dont think I'll be using it when approaching the car though
