**CD changer assembly help**

Hi guys
I recently bought an X5 3.0d sport. and the the CD magazine holder was missing from the CD changer. I purchased a CD magazine holder from eBay and when I installed it the magazine got stuck.... I had to dismantle the changer and found there to be bits of black plastic and a bits of a broken cd inside, however when I dismantled the changer a bronze clip with a spring popped out and I can't work out where it fits, can someone enlighten me??? I think it has something to do with the cd selector, See below.
