This sounds really naieve of me but can i take a standard X5 sub-woofer, fit it in its respective space in the boot and simply plug it in ??

Is the plug even in the boot space somewhere?

The reason i ask is that I've been offered one and wonder if It's as easy as I've been told it is?

No unless you have DSP (look on the menu).

Well I looked and it turns out there's no DSP so I'll be popping over to Raj's and talking to the guy who's sorting his out

Sounds like a plan. Another option, we'll have to check, is that I am pretty much removing all my original equipment out of the X5 and I did have DSP, etc and see if it's possible to just simply retrofit it all into yours (oe amp, DSP sub, etc)?

Could be quite interested in that, truth is that my car only gets used at weekends so basically want a much better sound than I have at the moment but unwilling to spend thousands getting it?

I have DSP what am i missin out on ? looks like i will be spending more money on the X !
