Anyone purchased a plastic boot liner for there X5?

Looking to get one, initially was gona get a genuine BMW one, but at 54 quid I thought I would have a look on eBay instead!

There are so many different companies selling on eBay, just wonder if anyone has bought one and if so is it as good a fit and as good quality as the genuine me one?

Cheers

I have the genuine one.............cheeky ebay purchase.

It's okay and has areas that can be cut to faciliate anchor point access albeit cuttiung same defeats object as fluid would leak through holes.

Sides can distort when pressure put on them but they should act as way to conatin any liquid from dripping into electrics.

I also have a waterproof black fabric cover that fits bootfloor & covers all 4 sides. No idea who made it seller on ebay thought it was OE but not sure on this. Loops around all 3 rear headrests with clips and 2 elastics go over gutter bump stops but fitting like this allows damp in as rubber strips compress on tailgate. Best solution probaly to fit velcro.......for now I simply sandwich tops into the cubby covers.

Recent house move means my car has done a few dump runs & is looking forward to a good clean. Despite all above I forgot to use same on none trip & got emulsion on the boot cunbby hole carpet...cleans off -thankfully it want gloss!

I think I bid to £15 on mine plus a pricey £20 p&p so £30-35 all in delivered.............right place right time. If buying 3rd party I would go for one with raised edges.

Do you mean one of these....

If so, then I do have a genuine BMW one (and no E53 now) although I have no idea how to get it to your part of the country. They don't roll up very well and would need either a large cardboard box to put it in, a sturdy plastic bag (none of which I have - or ferried via XDriver Mail (if said system exists). This one has never been cut so it's intact, albeit 7 years old now. I had the moving boot floor in mine so never needed to make any cuts - though I would have avoided making them as that does rather defeat the object of the liner after all!

I got the gen one from eBay £50 odd quid, I needed it when transporting mine and mi bros helis. Saved my boot carpet a few times, nitro fuel not only stinks, but stains as well.

Mine came in a big cardboard box
