Bluetooth Retro Fit

Post by justin0 » Mon Sep 13, 2010 11:25 pm

Anyone have any idea on retro fitting a B/tooth to my 2003 X5, I dont have anything fitted now. Can I just buy a B/T module on fleabay? or is there more involved?

Anyone know what part number module will fit?

Cheers

I think most modules will fit but to be able to use voice activation it would have to have 'MIT SES' on the label either that or get someone to activate it via resler etc.
As for fitting i'm not sure if the wiring loom is already there in place or not and you would also need an antenna..........have a look here it's where i got some info when i was trying to activate vr on mine..... http://www.bimmernav.com/BMW_X5_Bluetoo ... tions.html that and an old forum member named Safireblack who is the only one i know to have done the oem retrofit.
I think it will quite pricey to go oem mind.
Also here's a list of all the modules available http://www.bimmernav.com/ulfchanges.html
