Hey guys just wondering if the e53 comes with a factory detachable towbar . I need to use a small trailer .. But I don't need power coz it's small

they were not standard on all models,
just on the options list if the first owner specified one.

'standard'? what is 'standard' - even the steering wheel might be an option to tick when buying brand new

Indeed! Miss that box and it's a set of mole grips until you can afford a wheel....

And Aldo, whatever you do, DO NOT ask how much a retrofit is from a dealer unless you have had your heart checked recently!!

Thanks for replys ... I didn't get the car from new.. Previous owner was a banker so doubt very much he tick the box for it .. And for Wat I need it for I ain't buying one lol
I've seen the prices and I rather spend that amount on other things .
I was having a look on eBay the other day and this guy was advertising one and the way he describe it , it seem every x5 had one unless the owner misplace it . So I was just checking ... I'll just have to fold back seat for Wat I need to do ( 45 boxes 400*400) lol that should be fun . I'll take pic and post it here.. My poor x5 is turning into a work van!!

I really need to get my hands on a scanner to find out what previous owner choose on the x5 .. And unlock few things ..,

It says sport suspension settings, what does it mean? And battery master switch.

160? Urs should be 218bhp and 369lb/ft torque, being a 2006, right?

160 might be the power output in kw

Yeah it is for now

Sport suspension means stiffer springs at the front and higher air pressures in the air bags at the rear. Gives a firmer ride.

Not sure about the battery master switch though. Unless they mean the explosive one on the +ve battery terminal? In the event of airbag deployment it fires an additional charge that cuts the main battery cables just leaving a thin connection for the phone/telematics/Assist system and low power circuits to prevent any risk of fire.

It's a point to remember whenever you change the battery. Always dis the negative first!

waw! never knew that.. interesting feature. plus i did change the battery, although luckily enuf i did discon the negative first!
