Finally got my squeaky rear end fixed today and it feels so much better (paaarp)
culprit was rear ball joints. Also had the tell tale "clunk" when pulling away.

Just need to swap out a rear pdc (drivers outside sensor) do these just pull out on a facelift?
I have the sensor just need to swap it. Also front passenger outer sensor needs doing. Again I have the sensor but need a dry day to take the bumper off.

Cool. I've still got one to do but it's not sqeaking yet.

Sensors just have small tab clips that hold them in place.

Push into the bumper or pull away?

be careful that its pull away (or push) on the facelift for the rear (u have a facelift right?)

i remember seeing in diff. threads that on the facelift, if its the front, the bumper needs being taken off for this job.

It was the rear I wanted to know about. Already know about front bumper coming off which is why I've not done it yet.
Rears are really easy as I've found out today. There is the cover which pops off carefully then you push it inside the bumper. If its either of the 2 inner ones you can get them by removing the centre blanking panel where the towbar would be. The outer ones can be retrieved through the relevant exhaust blanking plate.

Apologies for the delay but as you discovered the rear covers just pull off and the sensors themselves are quite straight forward to remove.

DAMN! i had the PDC beeping and then the light blinkin when i put the car into reverse today am!!!!

its all working fine again so touch wood! anyways, like u said i hooked up the scanner to check what happend, and heres what it said:


first of all i presume 'converter' is the sensor unit itself?

if so if it happens again i guess i'm scr3wed, cos the front needs the bumper off to replace!

Yup converter is the sensor. The inner ones are the ones closest to the number plate and there are 6 sensors all the same. Two front and 4 rear. The outer ones are the L shaped sensors and there's 2 of them. Looks like you need one of each.
Hook up the scanner when it does it again just to make sure it reports the same ones, could only be 1 faulty one and an old message stored.
