I've tried to get an answer to this on the Intravee Forum but they're a bit stumped as well so I'm looking for some assistance from Intravee owners on here.

I want to plug the Alpine KCA-420i cable into an iPad and have the sound coming through the car speakers when playing a film via the iPad, Sky Go, downloads etc. This works perfectly on my iPhone 4S but when I tried a borrowed iPad 2, the music app on the iPad seems to be overriding the film volume. If I switch to a film during music playback then the volume mutes completely and doesn't return until the iPad is unplugged. If the film is already playing when the cable is attached, the music app takes over immediately and plays the first song on the alphabetical list.

Both iPad 2 and iPhone are running on the 5.1.1 OS. Has anyone got an iPad working in the way I'm looking for? Any suggestions as to where the problem lies?

I'll have a mess around over the next few days for you too... But with a iPad 3.

Thanks guys, I wasn't able to try it in my M as it wasn't available when I borrowed the iPad. I'm intrigued to see if you can get it working on yours.
