ECP Code?

Hi having trawled through posts on here it looks like the latest problems I've been having with my x5 have been caused by a duff battery.

Just wanting to check if the one that most people change to when replacing the battery is the Bosch silver s5? And does anyone's have a promo code for the discount for this from ECP?

Or is there somewhere cheaper that I can order it from?

Thanks all....

Try SERVICE30 UNTIL sun 27th (30%)

failing that try MGRORG25 (25% not time limited...covers quite a lot)

Is this useable on batteries?

Or is there  a better one?

Most codes out there are promos with 25% being max....occasionally a 30% comes along like the SERVICE30 but that expired as far as I know

MGRORG25 (and there are other similair ones) work night or day rain or shine DOES work with batteries

Example
Bosch BatteryS3 Battery 017 3 Year Guarantee
Coupon Benefit: -£22.79
(25% off for Mg-Rover.org Members)
SubTotal:£91.14
GRAND TOTAL (inc VAT): £68.35

This is better than the BATTERY15 that's on promo :) on their splash screen....but there is a DP30 for brakes

I get emails but their splash screen has promos on too...mustly specific

Check their promos
> 25% use
<25% try MGRORG25

Just play...you don't have to buy it to try it :))

What slightly bothers me is the possible move towards an MFI sofa company effect where discount may become "normal" price. Just cos it's discounted doesn't mean the best price one would caution

Not seen it yet but as always....compare

GSF used to be great but I know not of discounts...but they may still be cheaper....who knows

I used to like Wickes as they did "proper" stuff that B and Q didn't do like "building and electrical ".
That was many years ago when you used to get those little books in the post....they're still cheap but B and Q have out marketed them....sadly

Just used it and got the 25% off. Bosch S4 for an E46 318 for £47 so that's cool.

Will try the brakes one too for an Astra.

aren't  astra brakes a bit small for an X5?

Nah. It's all about weight saving. Plan on taking the X round the Ring so unsprung weight is key.... :P

Johnny.....or anybody who know about batteries

ECP lists the following when I put my reg in

Bosch BatteryS3 Battery 017 3 Year Guarantee
Coupon Benefit: -£22.79
(25% off for Mg-Rover.org Members)
SubTotal:£91.14
GRAND TOTAL (inc VAT): £68.35

I've read that some people have used S5. Is the difference between S5 and S3 just warranty?
I can't get ECP to list an S5 to see how much they are ....link anyone?

Not panicking but the X went flat tonight for no particular reason. This research is on the off chance a purchase is needed tommorow

What are my Bosh options and price?

Is the s3 good enough

further to the above

I think I have found the s5 by putting the code Bosch BatteryPart No.: 444770198 from anothe oldish thread

S5
after 25% discount
GRAND TOTAL (inc VAT): £84.55

Bosch BatteryS3 Battery 017 3 Year Guarantee
after discount
GRAND TOTAL (inc VAT): £68.35

does the s5 fit the 3.0d diesel facelift
