Don't ask me what I have done if anything, but the last few times I have taken the X out, at completely random times I will get 3 (three) beeps come through the speakers.

I have tried to see if the beeps have any correlation to the Sat Nav icons or stereo icons changing etc but nothing seems apparent.

I'm sure that this is a simple issue and someone will know, I just though I would ask here first before I start investigating further.

It's not the "memo" function on the Sat Nav OBC is it.

As Said above sounds like you have memo active, don't see the point in it my self. But beeps before the hr if I remember right from the 5'er I had before the X.

Isnt this the hour beeps, do it just before the stroke of every hour. Mine does it.

Go on then, 'memo function'?

As said, beeps 3 times before the hr every hr, why beats me. But you no how US like their beeps and bongs, reminds them there in a car I suppose.

the hourly beeps are to remind you to take a break from driving - ie if you keep on hearing the beeps then you've been driving for a few hours

You can switch them off - cant remember how - do a search on here to find out

Thanks guys, I checked the settings menu and sure enough the memo was enabled, not sure how but the clock had also changed to 12hr format, must have been when the battery got low the other week.

Hopefully that is all sorted now.
