Can't get DIS to work

Cannot get DIS to work on my Laptop >:(, I feel that I followed the instruction to the letter (though they could have been better).
INPA works ok, but does not connect to every module on the car, is this correct?
Everytime I start DIS and connect to the car on diagnosis I get a screen with "Diagnosis bus error. Communication between operating unit and dianostic head is impaired. Error number: 200.159"
Has anybody had this problem and know how to solve it?
Running windows Vista Home Premium SP2.

Seems to be a regular code from a quick web search. The only one that means anything to me is that you need to check:
1. OBD.INI is in your System32 directory as well as /EDIABAS/BIN
2. You added /EDIABAS/BIN to your windows path
3. In the OBD.INI port=COMx (should match what you have in device manager)
4. EDIABAS.INI is correctly edited with diaghead and 192.168.68.1 and port 6801
5. In device settings - Ports - Communications Ports - check that "USE FIFO Buffers" is selected (Also, I believe this should be the same port that your cable is set to)
6. Run /EDIABAS/HARDWARE/OBD/OBDSETUP.EXE and be sure everything is OK
Be sure you can get INPA to run before you tackle GT1/DIS.
Hopefully this means something to you?

I read the above, but it did not mean that much to me. I have got INPA unning though, but does not connect to all modules, unsure if it does?

Pass! I just Googled the error code and there are a number of BMW Forums discussing the same error. Some people seem to be using very complicated set-ups with 'Virtual Machines' at which point my brain fused! The text was the only thing that even came close to making sense....... :-[ ???

I have tried this.
I believe that it is a problem with having to turn off the firewall and the anti virus, but have not suceeded in turning off the anti virus on windows Vista to check.
I have the coloured bars at the top of the DIS screen, so it is showing comunication, will have another bash when I have time thanks anyway.

sounds like you may have not set the virtual networking up correctly.
are u sure you have the correct IP addresses in place?
