Which hid kit?

I'm looking to put a hid kit on my x5 but unsure which kit? My car is a 2004 53 plate x5 3.0l diesel sport. Do I need the kit for a canbus system or non canbus? I emailed both company's and they both said there kit was correct for my car which didn't help as I don't want to fit the wrong kit. Can any one help?
