if you have more than one key and you are sharing your car with somebody else like your mrs, here's a suggestion - get key memory enabled.

i got this done last week and now when i get into the car the seat and steering are nicely setup for me, the climate control is nicely on 19c (mrs never understood how auto climate controls work she only knows to put the fan control up or down!), think it personalises a few other things as well.

cool little extra bit, very satisfying!

either bmw or an indy with the proper tool needs to set it up.  scanner can't do it.

Definitely a good thing to have, we use it on all ours.  :ok:

On later gen cars like the X6 and Mini at also holds radio settings, nav settings, 'quick' button choices and iDrive preferences.  The annoying thing is that despite both Fron seats being the memory type, the key memory system only sets the drivers side.  It can't be beyond the capability of the in board systems to also set the passenger one too.  I know it's only a case of pushing one button before getting in, but.....
