Can I have an aluminium pedal as the foot rest?

Morning all

I am interested in having some Aluminium pedals fitted and have phoned my local BMW dealership for details. The chap on the phone said there is kit available for the brake and accelerator pedals but there isn't one for the foot rest. Is this correct (he sounded new!)? By the way I would prefer the BMW ones rather that other ones I have seen with logos on them!

Thanks

Sally

I'm sure Sanj has a full set in his, so give him shout and find out where he got his from.

AC Schnitzer do them for all pedals for sure .
You can also get 'M' sport ones , but I'm not sure I've seen non-logo'd ones !!
Must be available somewhere I'd have thought >

AC Schnitzer originals will be super expensive (mine are second hand, bought separately years ago). But they have lasted for ages.

I did have to cut the footrest one though to get it to fit right in mine.

Example of mine here...

Should have got you to do em, when you were here!

That pic was taken years ago.

Just realised you've changed your username...

Hi

Thanks for all of the information.

By the way the price I was given from the dealership was quite high (as it included fitting).

So do you know if they would sell me just the pedals so I could have my local garage fit them (for less money!).

Just one thing to add, I bought the car from BMW (different dealership) so it has the AUC warranty. Is this important if I having my local garage fit the pedals?

Thanks!!!

Sally

They should be able to sell you just the pedals, and you can fit yourself or at any garage.

I can't see any reason why fitting them would affect your AUC warranty in any way. :)

I have the genuine BMW set but as the dealer has stated they do not do a dead pedal for the set.

eBay link to OE pedal set

You can just purchase the pedals and fit them yourself or get a local garage to fit. It won't affect your warranty in any way.

I've always had genuine AC Schnitzer pedals in all my previous BMWs but as Sanj has said they are hugely expensive but you can buy the matching dead pedal.
