I have to go to Bristol and just been told that the entrance to the car park is 1.7 meters high. What is the height of the E70 Msport? (don't have the manual here before you ask ... :)

According to Parkers (Not sure how accurate it actually is)

It is 1776mm so if thats the case you need to either lose the roof rails or let the tyres down a bit to lower it that 76mm  :))

You might struggle with that one PVR.

X5Sport will be along in a sec with the full vehicle specs I'm sure

Ok, sounds like I will have to give the M a run then.

At least I will have some, uh, "protection" whilst on the M4 in case "they" are being a pain again  8)

>:D I'll ignore that barbed remark..... :P :))

@pvr - the good book says 1776mm over the rails (Parkers is right).  iBooks is a great place to keep manuals  ;)

I drove into a car park with a height restriction of 1.82m the other day. I had to close my eyes a few times!

Eurotunnel trains are fun........not only is the clearance only 8cms or so but the car is so wide it only just fits down the centre of the train.    I have less trouble in the van!

20" & 21" wheels technically put them over 6'6" limits too...... :-[

pvr only has the 'ickle' wheels so not to worry......

It is still a bum squeezing exercise to get the car down that lane anyway, trying to miss the mirrors hitting the loos and the wheels not hitting the sides when moving around that.

Will try for the high vehicle section next time.

its even worse when u get stuck next to the loos.......couldnt get out of the car!!!    Much easier to go through on the high side and i dont think it actually costs anymore.    You just have to put up with coach loads of screaming kids running up and down the carriage

Now if that quote can from Sanj - it wouldn't have much holding, but from you it has more credibility :))
