Dear All

Sorry but I can't work out how to reset the MPG counter!

I have pressed the button on the indicator stalk until MPG appears, then I hold it in for a few seconds and it changes to PROG. Then the SatNav screen changes to a page that lets me select the things that come up on the dashboard computer, e.g. Date, MPG, Range etc.

But after I have made my choices and clicked Memorise, the PROG disappears and I have the same old MPG displayed.

Help!

I have a 2005 X5 3.0d.

I assume you don't have satnav then?

Yes it does have Satnav but I have not used it yet.

Ok, click on menu, then computer, then scroll down to the MPG settings, click on it - select reset.

All from the menu screen on the satnav screen.

I will try it tomorrow morning.

Menu is the only physical button you press.

The rest is driven from the satnav screen. There are two MPG counters by the way.

Just to add/clarify the text to highlight (after Menu Button > Computer> Consumption 1 or 2) is shown on screen as "Recalculate"
