Right i will try and explain this the best i can .............
Car is a 2001 X5 Sport 4.4.

When i bought the car the seller said that had changed the front side lights to halo rings?  They do look really good and are really a very bright white, even clearly visable in the daytime.  The normal dipped beam headlights are rather yellow still and i would like them to be a white/bright as the sidelights.

I have attcahed a couple of photos to try and help explain what i mean.  You can see how clear the white ring is where its reflected in the front bumper.

Thanks allImageImage[img]

These are the ones I fitted to mine to convert the yellowish halogen bulbs. all you need is a 25mm hole saw and can easily be fitted in an hour, look for different whie/blue light shades on there sight 4300 is the whitest, but only 35w mine are 6000 55w slightly bluer light but a lot brighter, please check compatability before buying
EDIT Also check to see if they have the metal holding clip or the plastic bulb  holder they are both H7 bulbs

Definitely just add a HID kit to add match the colour better and provide you with a decent light output too.

You want something like THIS but perhaps a 55w kit for added brightness. Ensure they are Canbus ones so error free. 4300k bulbs are close to OE but personally like 6000k which is just a touch bluer.
