anybody know where there is an ign feed in rear by cd changer?

There should be as things like the HK amp, etc are all located there. May be worth testing some of the more obvious wires with a tester as off hand not sure.

In the boot you need to remove the spare.

BM54 is under the spare wheel. You need to remove the black plastic cover that is embossed with BMW. Check if you have the wiring and plug (large 54 pin connector for the HK amp) in the left cubby under the cd changer, etc. If it's there as a lot of things are pre-wired with the X5, then a remote feed will be within that loom. Maybe easier to tap off and get to.
