Wing mirror glass

I have noticed the wing mirror glass on my passenger side mirror is becoming increasingly cloudy with a yellowish tinge to it, like some sort of deterioration in the coating.  Its annoying more than anything else as it creates a blurry image.  Is it a common fault I wonder? Not sure if my mirrors are the photochromic glass ones or not. Wonder what the chance is of them being covered under warranty?

That is indeed the liquid issue in the glass so they would be the chromatic mirrors (I assume they fold as well as that was always combined as an option?).

Warranty - no idea, it is obviously faulty but I don't know if they cover this.

You do have chromatic glass and from memory it is covered under the warranty if the glass itself is not cracked etc.

Oh well, off to Sutton again I think Raj!  Thanks for confirming. Pvr- yes indeed, they do fold. One whole motor unitwas replaced under warranty a while ago and the dealer broke the glass so replaced that too. Unfortunately it was the other side mirror to the currently defective one!
Hopefully they can replace along with defective rear light cluster under warranty.

I think they replace the whole unit, so new motor on that side as well.

They'll just replace the mirror glass if the motor and unit is fine.
