Mud Flaps with Wheel Arches

What I find really annoying is spending hours cleaning my car only to find that 20 miles up a dampish motorway the whole back of the car is dirty as hell from top to bottom but the rest still gleaming. I know it's the 20" staggered wheels doing it. Is there a way to fit mud flaps to it with these wheels and arch extensions on it?

Even with 19's and mud flaps the back of my car is covered in no time. It's just the nature of the beast.

Its mainly because of the hatch shape boot, hence a rear wiper.
Going say 70mph you will find your rear window get spray on it, wind comes off the back and circles on to the window. Hard to explain, but next time just glance in your rear view mirror and you will see.

True - like a vortex. PITA.
Design, aerodynamics - they need a wind tunnel...

It needs the vortex to keep the back end on the road at 100+........ :drive:
Never ever felt mine getting 'light' even at full speed (on a test track I hasten to add). Unlike some Rangey models which got 'iffy' above 85mph.

All estate shaped cars are like that. My old e39 touring had mudflaps but as already mentioned there is a vortex chasing every car and hatchback / estate cars spray their backends and window no matter what. That's said even without flaps I've noticed no more spray down the sides /dirt compared to the 530. Perhaps the X's extended arches help shield the sides from some of the spray.
Personally I think cars look nicer without mudflaps anyway.

Agreed and they have wind tunnels. Unfortunately the aerodynamics on most cars causes this.
