Puff on start up.

No it's not a coming out of the closet whilst setting up a business moment, I am getting a puff of blue smoke on start up, it's really not enough to concern me, as its not really what I would call excessive, but I do like to know whats behind stuff.
Its not really bad as I have only noticed it when waving to wife (with kids, as id look pretty daft waving her off on my own) when she goes out (point being I am in line with exhausts when she starts it).
I did have a petrol car years ago which needed valve stem seals to cure it, but obviously this is a diesel turbo so wondering if its the same or a sign of turbo trouble or indeed engine wear.
Car has been over serviced, so as long as it hasn't been thrashed cold we should be ok there. 2006 3.0d 76k.
There's no blue smoke when driving, just start up.
It's the best car I have had, so please no bad news lol!
