X-pipe or H-pipe exhaust

I'm looking to changing the exhaust on my 4.8 and it seems there's a couple of options on replacing the centre box. Both involve junking the centre box and replacing with either an X-pipe (more power at higher revs and more raspy sound) or a more traditional H-pipe (more lower end torque and a deeper, muscle car sound).

Any thought, opinions or experience?

I've got a custom cat back Magnaflow exhaust with x-pipe and smaller rear boxes and it sounds superb. Goes well too but whether majorly noticeable is debatable as the gains are proportionately small to stock.

I'll vouch for that  :)
