what the hell??



last i know was a great detailing job over the weekend,  including clay, pb blackhole, hd liquid wax.

didn't expect this though..

hoping to replace.. anyone knows how to take this off pls? easy as this i hope?

Or you can put something like one of your wife's credit cards (well you don't want to damage your own now do you....) next to the badge on the bonnet as a safety layer and then very gently lift the edge of the roundel with a wide flat blade of some sort - being VERY careful not to scratch the paint (hence the credit card) - and gently prise it off.

this happened exactly the same on one of my other e46s, got a new oem one for about £12 i think

£29 oem. didn't check with the dealer though.. guessing its the same price..

mine was definatly around £12-15 because i got an oem one for a couple of quid more than the minefield of ebay copies and remembered been shocked!

Have a look in the How To section - the answer is there !

I just replaced the Roundel on my E46 which I think is the same size as the one one the E53 (82mm).

Looks exactly the same as OEM but for only £3.99 inc delivery.

May not last as long but time will tell and very happy with my purchase.

thanks, they have raised the price to £7 now incl delivery. can get for about £4 off fleabay anyways...

called the dealer its £29!! same as bmw direct on fleabay.

there's one oem on auction, a 5 day wait though..

anyways i've got bigger problems suddenly today - got all dressed for a 12.5 mile commute to work on my cycle and no blo0dy air!!; thought i'd change the tube and proceed, it now appears the tyre-wall has got sliced on something grrrhh!!!
