Have a look at bmwcoding.com .  That seems to be a good forum to get this sort of thing done.  BMW Dealers either won't do it (safety hazard like the mirrors) or don't know how to do it as they have to be able to speak German.  The car's coding is all in German.  It is probably possible though....as long as the right code line can be found and the command set to 'Activ'. :ok:

I'd like to be able to close it off the key and from the button at the front inside too.

With the powered boot I can close off the boot with the key, but annoyingly the  button doesn't work so the only option is to use the key which seems a bit odd.

I think you may have to hold the boot button on the remote a little longer for it to act.

Shame you're too far from me dennys otherwise I can code the tailgate close by remote and via button on the dash for you.

I'd be interested in this also, wish there was a BMW equivalent of the VAG-COM for VAG vehicles.

I understand I can set my mirrors to auto fold on lock and add some info to my HUD.

I saw somewhere that you can even code the sunroof and windows to close if the rain sensor detects rain!

I'm in Herts btw if you guys mean me by msport that is?
Regards to the activating the features Its pretty simple procedure that anyone with the correct cable can do (common sense approach required),I gained my knowledge through various forums one being Bmwcoding.
I'll be happy to help forum members acheive what they require.

Mpower ( not msport )!

I have vcds which is the latest cable for vags and have activated total closure when rain is detected, but haven't done this feature on my E70 yet.
