My drivers window had been getting jammed when it was opened all the way it refused to close. I had a few options to explore but went with the easiest first.

Turns out there are some plastic clips that hold the windows in place. Over time they can snap and leave the window out of position when all the way down.

Beats me why such an integral part would be made from cheap plastic but hey ho. Part cost £1.50 and did the job.
Window now closes and no more rattles when closing the door.

Thought I would share just in case anyone else has this issue, worth checking before doing the whole regulator.

I have just this weekend had a similar problem rear window for me. It's scary that such an "up Market Marque" uses cheap plastic parts. Nothing wrong with plastic just I would hope that the best quality is used?

As all manufacturers use common parts across their model ranges this should be a worry to Rolls Royce buyers!!!

When I checked in at my local dealer he checked his system and told me only something like 10 dealers in the whole country stocked the part so I ordered quite a few for futuer problems.

I also found a great write up AFTER I had finished, but to be honest its such a simple job, just a bit fiddly, that didnt really need write up:

Edit: Should mention, what the write up excludes to mention is that you need to roll the window half way down or so until you can see the bolt through the metal frame as this is the only way you can access it, and whilst the write up says 3-4hrs, it actually only takes around 45-1hr.

Plastic gets used in all sorts of questionable places.  It was a cheap plastic part in the torque converter that caused my transmission failure.  Why a plastic part in a critical hi-load area was beyond me too, except they probably cannot reliably make it out of metal.

Well done for finding the fix though....
