i am having a problem with my battery going flat in around 30min when i have my ignition key turned to auxiliary position, i can leave the X parked up for 2 to 3 weeks not being used and it will start no problem, the battery fitted is a Bosch 95amp per hour that was fitted new around 18mths ago, its also been drop tested no problems were found, its charging at 14.01 Volts, has anyone had a similar problem,

i have had similar issues when working on mine in the past with the ignition left on.
had no problems after a jump start. i just think the car must use a lot of battery power on various things when the key is on. same as leaving the tailgate open- several lights in the boot compartment stay on as well.

Very common.
To give you a baseline, when my X6 is in 'Radio Ready Mode' it draws up to 60A (yes you did read it right SIXTY Amps) due to all the electrical modules, networks and interfaces all being active. Needless to say, the battery warning comes up on the iDrive in a fairly short period of time!

60 amp draw and no flames :yikes: looks like the jump leads will have to stay in the boot,
Thanks for your replies ,
