My 2004 X5 has the rear parking sensor covers missing on 3 of them and the sensors appear to be glued on.
Can I replace these from the ouutside without removing the bumper?

Yup, if you have the V8 with twin pipes it is a bit of a fiddle though. But it is much easier to fit them than remove although it's no easy feat 

Is their a guide anywhere or can anyone tell me how to do it?

I couldn't find one, take the good one off and see how it works
