led indicators

Post by Jayx5 » Mon Sep 23, 2013 9:48 pm

Ive just bought some rear led indicator bulbs (error free) they work fine but it ticks fast as if a bulb has gone! Will they all do this or have I bought some duds? They cost £18 :o

Think the load is too low and you need a resistor to help.

Error free they may be but as Sanj says, you will need a suitable resistor to slow it all down.
The error free part is so that the LCM doesn't see the LED's as a blown lamp, but if it doesn't see a high enough resistance it will cause the flash rate to be too fast.

That's great thanks for uploading! I was looking at those exact ones actually. Apart from flashing too fast :)

Are they pretty bright?

They aren't much brighter than the old ones but are so much sharper ,you get no bulb fade if you know what I mean.

Yeah I no what you mean LED's are so much faster at lighting up and go off instantly I like that look a lot.
