Bluetooth hands free sound not brilliant

Evening,

Maybe something someone has experienced before -

I've managed to get my iphone 5 connected to the factory Bluetooth in my E53 and it's all working perfectly but the sound quality is very poor, it sounds very muffled and dull if that makes sense ? It's not the caller because I've tried several people and also they've said I have sounded almost like you would if you were a long way from the phone ?

Hope someone has some advice !

Thanks

Talk louder..... :P

Sorry, check the mic for dust clogging in the vents.  If it's fine with other phones then it's going to be the Bluetooth iteration or mic output level over Bluetooth.

To be honest the bigger problem for me is the quality of the sound coming through the speakers in the car, the voices sound very muffled and dull, as if you need to turn the treble up and lower the bass.

Are there any settings for the Bluetooth sound ? The tone button doesn't do anything

Thanks

Hi,

When I had  an E53 the quality was always " average " at best. The volume of the caller was never loud enough.
Thats just the way it is im afraid.

Regards,
Nat.

The last bit is that the phone audio is limited to a much narrower audio frequency range than the music bandwidth (3 kHz as against 22kHz).

It will therefore sound dull with not enough top, and too much bass.
