Hi Guys,
Been a lurker on here for some time, finally got myself a week ago a 2005 '55' facelift E53 3.0 sport - Sapphire black metallic with 60k on it. Completely standard with a full BMWSH
This is the first X5 I've owned and hasn't disappointed me one bit, look forward to being a member of the X community
Haven't got much planned at the moment for it, would like to replace the amber markers for the fresher/newer looking white markers and retrofitting the oem sat nav system.
Thanks,
Mark

As Shadrack says, there are much cheaper options. Retrofitting the OEM system requires taking pretty much the whole interior out, running in the additional looms, adding the head and boot modules and computer and then coding the vehicle before putting it all back together.
For not much more than the price of the nav DVD (around £200 per year if you update it) you can get a standalone unit with free upgrades.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
Re: Newbie saying hello
Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
Will look into options for an after market system, would like to keep the oem 'ness where possible.
I've seen the Dynavin models online, but seems to be a mixed bag of reviews
