Cam Position sensors

Hi folks, I have had a lumpy idle which is present from cold to hot and petrol & LPG. I have been round all the hoses and found a couple of small breathers that needed replacing and that seems to have improved things but only slightly.
Error code is ; vanos inactive camshaft control bank 2.
After trawling through forums and YouTube it seems that a faulty cam sensor can throw up a vanos error and visa versa so my next port of call will most probably be cam sensors.
I can easily get to the left hand one and the right hand one is just a case of removing the air intake / maf.
GSF have a camshaft position sensor for £57.36 free delivery.
And finally to the questions. Are there just the two sensors on the front of the engine ? And are the two sensors the same?
As usual any info and your input and ideas appreciated.

Cheers col.

From my point of view its a vanos issue not cam.sensor issue. :(

Update on the lumpy tickover issue. Fitted camshaft sensor and no improvement, until the car had a run. 30 mile trip, then a bit of running locally with no change after about 5 stop/starts it just started running OK and has been fine for a couple of days.
