Drivers door carrage problem

To day I fitted a new door handle carriage to my e53, the front handle screw and the plastic locator were fitted ok but the rear handle screw the one that's at a angle is now out of line with the thread in the handle ,
Anyone had this problem , Malc

I have problems with my driver door handle , the Allen key bolt at the back of the handle is out of line with the thread in the handle, also can you buy the cable only that connects to the door carrier,
