Electrical fault?
Hi, as I've mentioned before my car has been having trouble starting. I thought it was the fuel pump relay but I now think it might be an electrical fault, as some days the pixels on my dash are missing and unreadable and that's when it has trouble firing up. When the pixels are all there and clear ...

Re: Fuse for boot
The latch seems quite stiff, it will sometimes latch with a screw driver. I've read somewhere that it could be the stop butts not in align, or it could be a broken spring, broken actuator, dodgy fuse (but can't find it), wiring loom shorting out.
Think I might bite the bullet and take it to ...

Re: Fuse for boot
Sorry it opens no problems when I finally get it to lock, it's getting it the latch to lock that's the problem

Re: Fuse for boot
Just been out to car and it won't even latch when the car is off now.
Taken out all central locking fuses from glove box and none seem to be for the boot.
I think it's the lock mechanism on the boot as when I press the latch shut with my finger it sometimes locks in place, other times it will just ...

Re: Fuse for boot
It locks fine when then car isn't switched on, as soon as its switched on it unlatches itself and won't latch until the car has stopped

Fuse for boot
Hi does anyone know where the fuse for my boot will be?
This morning I've had problems with the boot latch and want to check the fuse.
Cheers

Re: Starting Problems
Hi guys, just updating on car. I gave the fuel pump relay a tap and press and it's been starting first time since. I'm hoping that it might have come a little loose or something.

Re: Starting Problems
Yes exact same with both keys, I will still tighten up battery cables in the morning to eliminate that.
I will order a new fuel pump relay to eliminate that.
If neither works I will take it to local BMW.
Cheers mate

Re: Starting Problems
Thanks for the reply x5
I would say the crank is a fast crank, but I will check all cables are tight in the morning and get battery voltage checked.
I've noticed the car tends to be worse when it's been raining like today.
I will check all that you have said tomorrow and get back to you.
Thanks for ...

Re: Starting Problems
Sometimes it will do a little crank and then other times it won't crank at all and will go straight to a 'psssst' sound and then all the airflow stops. I take key out, put it back in and then it will fire up. The sound sounds like it's coming from the passenger side of the car engine, there also is ...

Starting Problems
Hi, hopefully somebody can help me.
I go to start my car and the key turns and there is like a piston sound and won't start, I take they key out and it either does it again or starts. Usually takes 2-3 times to start, then drives fine until the next time I go to start it up. Occasionally it starts ...
